Diamonds - The Four C's
THE FIRST C - COLOR
A diamond color is measured from D-Z. D color is colorless and Z is
yellow. We recommend our clients stay above an I color for an
exceptional diamond color.

THE SECOND C - CLARITY
Diamonds clarity is a measure of the purity of a diamond. Imperfections
or inclusions are measured from IF (Internally Flawless to I3
(Imperfect).

THE THIRD C - CUT
Shapes other than the standard round brilliant are called fancy shapes
or fancy cuts. Their names are based on their shapes. The best known are
the heart, marquise, pear-shaped cut, emerald-cut, oval, and radiant.

THE FOURTH C - CARAT WEIGHT
The standard unit of weight used for gemstones. One carat equals .200
grams (or 200 milligrams). Usually abbreviated ct.

THE FIFTH C - CONFIDENCE
The four c's
are certainly important when choosing your diamond, however we feel the
Fitfh C - Confidence is equally important. Our longevity in the
business and our many satisfied customers bear witness to the Maloof
history that we are so proud of.
